Understanding Scanning
What scanning does
Each product scans Reddit on a schedule and finds posts that match what you're selling. It figures out where to look and what to look for based on your product details.
Setting up scanning
- Create a product - Your product details tell LeadsRover what's relevant.
- Set scan frequency - Hourly if you want to respond quickly, daily if you'd rather batch things. Configure this in the Settings tab.
How scanning works
Scans run in the background based on your schedule.
- Hourly - Good when timing matters. Some Reddit threads get buried within hours.
- Daily - Fine for most products. Uses fewer scans from your quota.
How search works
LeadsRover reads your product description to understand what problems you solve. Then it searches Reddit for posts where people describe those problems, even if they don't use the same words you would.
A detailed product description gets you better matches. If your description is vague, the results will be too.
If results aren't great
Not enough leads?
Check your product description. If it doesn't clearly explain what problem you solve, LeadsRover won't know what to look for.
Too much noise?
Mark irrelevant leads with the thumbs down button. LeadsRover learns from this and adjusts future scoring.
